The Institute of Baltic Region History and Archaeology supervises three 1st and 2nd cycle study programmes with about 50 students.
1st cycle History studies in the Lithuanian language at KU have been carried out since 1993. In 2014, the 1st cycle study programme of Archaeology in the Lithuanian language was launched. In 2018, the two separate study programmes of History and Archaeology were reorganized into one 1st cycle study programme of Archaeology and History. In 2019, the Institute launched the 1st cycle programme History of Europe. The programme is delivered in English.
2nd cycle study programme Baltic History in the Lithuanian language has been carried out since 1997.
The Institute also conducts doctoral studies in the field of History and Archaeology.
