Archaeologia Baltica (ISSN 1392-5520) is an annual peer-reviewed academic journal published by the Institute in English. The editors invite a wide range of contributions in all fields of archaeology related to the Baltic Sea region, from methodology to synthesis and theory, discussions, current controversies and suggestions for new research, as well as conventional research papers. Book reviews and overviews are also welcomed, as long as they make a conceptual contribution to the field of archaeology.
All articles are provided with short summaries in Lithuanian.
The Institute succeeded the publication of the journal from the Lithuanian Institute of History (Vilnius) where the first five volumes (1995-2006) were prepared.
The journal is indexed and abstracted in the EBSCO Central & Eastern European Academic Source and in the European Reference Index for the Humanities and the Social Sciences (ERIH PLUS).
